Toilets & Drains
If you're having plumbing issues, you can often resolve them on your own with a standard plunger. For your toilet, simply push the plunger against the drain opening and pump up and down vigorously. If you're successful in budging the clog, the toilet will flush on its own. The same approach works well for sinks and bathtub drains, should a small clog be causing the drain to back up.
Please remember not to use Draino or other chemicals that could damage your pipes.
Electrical Outages
If you lose power in your rental property, first try to identify whether you're the only property impacted in your neighborhood. Widespread outages may occur during bad weather or if lines are accidentally felled. You can call your electrical company to learn more.
If you lose power in your home, you might also want to check the circuit breaker. Ensure the breaker is in the ON position; if it trips, flip it back to ON and work to identify what overloaded your circuit to avoid dangerous situations moving forward.
Hot Water Problems Collapse
If you run out of hot water in your property, check the settings on your tank's thermostat. Verify that the information is correct. If possible try to reset your tank and wait 15 to 20 minutes before testing the water temperature.
Furnace and Air Conditioning Issues
If your HVAC system isn't working properly, the easiest way to troubleshoot the issue is by checking the central thermostat; are all of the settings accurate? Has the temperature been changed accidentally?
If your thermostat appears normal, please contact your utility provider to ensure no problems with your account are inadvertently causing HVAC issues.
